Unlock your inner Broadway star and start your musical improv journey here! Learn the crucial tools needed in order to confidently improvise songs. You’ll learn to connect with your voice, tap into your BIG performer energy, and feel free while improvising music.
The goals of this Intro class are as follows:
Getting comfortable and confident with the music and rhythm
Becoming comfortable with your singing voice
Removing judgment from how you sound and from others
Feeling confident in starting a song within a scene
Recognize a basic song structure
Finding a simple, repeatable chorus
Finding a strong, obvious finish to songs
Sharing a song with a scene partner
Releasing fear and embracing FUN in musical improv
EVEN THOUGH THIS IS AN “FOUNDATIONS” COURSE, IMPROV EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. HAVING, AT LEAST, TWO LEVELS OF IMPROV IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
