Vocal Training Foundations
This class starts Sunday Sept 27th and goes through Nov 15th
This is an introductory course designed to provide students with a strong, supportive foundation for healthy, expressive singing. Each week builds on the last, combining technique, creativity, and mind-body awareness. By the end of the course, students will understand how their voice works, how to care for it, and how to use it with confidence.
By the end of this class, you’ll be leaving with these skills:
A clear understanding of healthy breath support
Tools for resonance, projection, and diction (vowel shaping and consonant awareness)
Increased pitch accuracy and ear-training awareness
Basic warmup routines they can use for life
Techniques for releasing tension and accessing ease
A stronger relationship with their creative voice and intuition
Confidence in singing in front of others
About Sudie:
I’m a vocalist, producer, and educator with a BFA in Vocal Performance and over a decade of experience teaching — and nearly 30 years of experience performing, composing, and releasing original music.
My background spans classical, opera, jazz, pop, and musical theater. I’ve had the honor of working with singers, actors, amateurs, professionals, and everyone in between, helping them build healthy technique while nurturing a deeper sense of artistic identity and self-connection.
My teaching philosophy centers on curiosity, compassion, and embodiment. I believe singing is both a physical skill and a creative dialogue with yourself — one that can radically shift confidence, self-expression, and emotional wellbeing.
In my classes, we work on essential foundations breath support, resonance, alignment, and vocal freedom. We also dive into the creative, intuitive side of the voice: connecting to imagery, sensation, storytelling, and inner permission.
My goal is to help every student feel safe, grounded, and empowered as they discover their voice — literally and artistically.
We’ll challenge the idea of “controlling” the voice and instead focus on supporting, honoring, and expanding the unique, powerful voice each person already has.
